Our Safety measures

At Victor Attah International Airport, precautionary measures have been implemented throughout the airport to maintain the health and safety of everyone. These measures include sterilisation of the airport and administrative blocks, thermal and temperature screening, social distancing markers and high levels of sanitisation in compliance with standards set out by the relevant authorities.

FLIGHT RESUMPTION PROTOCOL FOR AIR TRAVELERS THROUGH VICTOR ATTAH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Ahead of the resumption of domestic flight activities on July 15, 2020 as approved by the Federal Ministry of Aviation, the Management of Ibom Airport Development Company Limited, operator of Victor Attah International Airport, has approved some guidelines for passengers and general airport users. The COVID-19 Health and Security Protocol are aimed at protecting all persons using the Victor Attah International Airport.

For Departing Passengers:
All departing passengers must arrive the airport three (3) hours before scheduled flight time All passengers must be fully kitted with face masks. Please note that no one will be allowed into the airport without the use of a face mask. On arrival at the airport, all passengers will use the face recognition machine for temperature checks. All passengers must maintain a minimum of 1.5meters PHYSICAL DISTANCING. Please follow floor markings and queue ropes in the ticketing hall and sitting arrangement in the departure hall. All passengers must observe PHYSICAL DISTANCING as they queue to board the aircraft. Please follow markings at the boarding gate. Hand sanitizers would be provided at the boarding gate for all departing passengers.

For Arriving Passengers:
All passengers must remain fully kitted with their face mask as they disembark from the aircraft and maintain PHYSICAL DISTANCING while queuing to board the airside bus. All passengers must use hand sanitizers before riding in the Airside bus. On arrival at the terminal, passengers must submit self reporting forms issued in-flight to port health personnel and nurses at the access to the arrival hall. All passengers must walk through the disinfection chamber maintaining physical distancing before accessing the baggage claim area.

Others:
In addition to the above guidelines, escorts will not be allowed into the ticketing/departure hall and persons awaiting arriving passengers are advised to remain in their cars until the passenger’s exits the terminal. Please note that passengers who fail health safety checks will be isolated and transferred to the State Government approved medical facility for further investigation.
